Baking Soda and Vinegar Experiment

Baking Soda and Vinegar Experiment

•     What do you need?

•     Baking Soda

•     Malt Vinegar

•     10mls of Hot water

•     Measuring Cup
•     Measuring spoons

•     Tall, see-through class

Method:
1.    First using your measuring spoons take 1 tsp to use to pour 2 ½ of baking soda into the tall cup along with the hot water.

2.    Secondly, using your measuring cup pour in 150mls of malt vinegar.

3.    Lastly for an eruption to happen, tip in the malt vinegar into the baking soda and hot water then you will get a rise up eruption of how a volcano erupts.

Write 2-3 sentences about how this experiment is similar to an erupting volcano:

This fun experiment on how a volcano erupts is an enjoyable way to demonstrate how it works. I would definitely recommend you try this at home but make sure to do this presentation on a clean open surface so it’s easy to clean up afterwards or feel free to do it outside. This project was so much fun to watch and make sure to try this at home.
