Write here: Today, Monday 14th of October Pt England School had Immersion assembly. This terms inquiry is about Life's a stage and assembly was held in the school hall. We did it because it was the first back at school and how we did it is by introduction to inquiry.

First we saw Mr. Burt wearing a funny curly afro wig in the morning then he introduced Pt England School in fakalofa lahi atu. Next Mr. Jacobson, Mr. Burt and Pt England School sang a song written from Mr. Jacobson’s little brother called ‘’Is it kind is it true is it necessary’’ my favorite part was the lyrics because it was about kindness.

Then it was time for team 1’s item there movie was amazing I really enjoyed it. When the movie was finished Ms Hockely came to the front of the stage and said a few things about what team 1 is doing about the koraro for this week that is ‘’Life’s a stage’’. After that it was team 2’s turn to share their ideas with Pt England School they created a play that was very smart.

Team 2’s item was finished then it was team 3’s turn to share their item with the whole school and they also did a movie and it was cool then I enjoyed it. Next it was team 4’s turn to explain there learning which is my team we did a play it was very funny because my teacher said ’’WHAT? YOU DON’T ASK HOW OLD I AM!’’ then it went to team 5’s turn so they play as well then when they finished well done team 5 for sharing your item.

WWE 15/10/19

One foggy day there was an awesome girl named Tess and she lives in a house that was close to a nearby forest some say that it’s special. Later that day I saw people taking pictures of something so I decided to go and explore and see what was so special about it.

As I walked towards the forest it was hard to see what was going on there so as I got closer there was a footpath filled will rose paddles. So then I walked on the stairs and it was a little bit scary because there was long trees that like those spooky trees then I saw something in the distance I thought it was a ghost but it was a false alarm thought it was time to go home so off I went back home.

Once upon a time there was a new train made in 2019! It was the latest train that have ever made. One day there was a group of people about to cross the train tracks. A train went into a strange tunnel filled with grass, leaves, bushes and even some bamboos. Then the people didn't hear anything until a train was speeding and then BANG! The train hit BOOM! towards the people!! Everybody else was okay. But I called the ambulance when they arrived at the train station the group of people went to the hospital I was very worried and so I hopped on the train and took off.

The Lion King

In the holidays, my family and I went to HOYTS cinema to watch the new movie called The Lion King. Well it's kind of a old movie (Remake), but this Lion King is a new one with new parts and new scenes.

The characters of the lion king are Simba, Mufasa, Nala, Shenzi, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa, Scar, Sarabi, Azizi, Kamari, Rafiki and (Hyenas).

The movie had lots of comedy parts  like Pumbaa and Timon were fighting the hyenas
One of the sad moments in the movie was when Simbaa lost his dad (Mufasa)
But one of the really weird parts was when Timon and Pumbaa were eating bugs.

The voice behind the characters.

46 million Australian banknotes printed with a spelling mistake

6 Million bank notes in Australia have been printed with a spelling mistake.
The mistake has been found on Australia’s new $50 bill which was introduced last October.
One side of the bill depicts Edith Cowan, the first woman to serve in Australia’s parliament. Beside her image is small text of her first speech in parliament.
It is in this small text that the spelling mistake occurs. They spelt responsibility as responsibilty!
“It is a great responsibilty to be the only woman here, and I want to emphasise the necessity which exists for other women being here,”
The misspelling occurs three times on the note.
The mistake was spotted by a listener of Australian radio station Triple M, who sent a zoomed-in picture of the note to the radio station.

Auckland temporarily bans Lime e-scooters

The Auckland Council has announced that Lime scooters will be temporarily suspended from the city.
The ban comes after the company failed to prove its scooters were safe and follows on from Dunedin Council who announced a similar ban last week.

There have been a number of issues with the scooters , especially around their front wheels locking up.
The suspension will last until Monday, when Lime will have another opportunity to present information to the Auckland Council regarding equipment safety.
There had been 92 reported “irregular braking incidents” in Auckland, which resulted in 19 separate injury claims.

Nelson bush fires

Several houses have been lost in Redwood Valley in the Nelson region in a large forest fire. A state of emergency has been declared.
People who are close to the fire or downwind of the fire have been evacuated.

The fire broke out mid-afternoon on Tuesday in Pigeon Valley near Nelson – it’s now grown to 1370 hectares.
Conditions are hot and windy and firefighters say they could be battling the blaze for another two to four days.
Twelve firefighting crews, two planes and six helicopters are trying to control the blaze.
Nelson residents are reporting ash is falling over the city, despite the fire being 30km away.
There had not been any rain in the area since December.

Later that night I was crying and crying. It was midnight and I still haven't slept I looked at the time and it was 1.50 in the morning and I quickly asleep.

The ghost of Anne Tottenham?

21 year old English man, Thomas Beavis, snapped a pretty spooky photo whilst on a tour of a haunted mansion in Ireland.
Thomas was flicking through the photos on his camera from the tour of Lotus Hall and was shocked to find a ghostly figure of what appears to be a young girl in the background of one of his shots.
Thomas says that everyone was already feeling a little spooked after the tour but after he showed his friends the photo, they freaked out.
Legend tells of Lotus Hall being home to the Tottenham family in 1766 and soon after the youngest child, Anne, became ill and claimed to have witnessed a paranormal experience of her own – leading her parents to lock the girl away in one of the rooms until she died.
Thomas says he got the chills when he found the spooky figure in the photo and still doesn’t quite believe what he has captured on camera.
So is it a trick of the light? Or is it the ghost of Anne Tottenham?

Doctors warn about dangers of Fortnite

Every few years a new video game fad explodes onto the scene. In 2016 it was Pokémon Go, now it’s Fortnite.
The game has been downloaded more than 40 million times since its launch last year. But its popularity has prompted a warning about the dangers of addiction.
The video game puts 100 players against each other in a frantic fight for survival.
No matter your skill level, the game will get you hooked.
“Fortnite is really addictive because it’s a free-to-play game and it doesn’t make any difference if you play it for one hour or 100 hours, you’re always going to get the same experience,” says video games journalist.
